Dummy Care
How to clean your dummy
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CLEAN MY DUMMY
We lovingly make our dummies in a clean environment, however, it is vitally important that you sterilise your new dummy before first use.
Simply pop it out of the packaging and place in boiling water for 5 minutes.
As our teats are made from natural rubber latex they will break down when heated above 100 degrees Celsius, therefore we do not recommend cleaning your dummy in the microwave or dishwasher, or using any other sterilizing solutions. Simply popping your dummy in hot water is sufficient enough.
Repeat regularly to keep your baby's dummy free from bacteria that can build up during use.
WHEN SHOULD I REPLACE MY DUMMY
For both hygiene and safety reasons, we recommend replacing your baby's dummy every 5-6 weeks. Our natural rubber teats mean that the rubber also naturally ages, causing the teats to swell and change shape over time. We would recommend replacing the dummies when this happens so your baby doesn't get use to a large teat.
Always inspect your baby's dummy before every use and replace it if there are any signs of damage or weakness.
